TRUE LABRADORS

Winston is a Max and Ellie puppy born here at True Labradors. His previous family reports he never met another dog he didn't love. Winston wouldn't hurt a fly but has been known to enter a room full of excitement and vigor. Winston doesn't realize his size, 95 pounds. His last family explained he knocked over a special needs child which was the last straw. Winston was purchased in hopes of being a service dog for this child he knocked over. Winston just didn't bond with the child and neither parent seemed to have time for him. I didn't know their plan for Winston at the time of purchase. I would have recommended a professional service if I had known. Keep in mind only a small percentage of dogs actually pass scrutiny to be selected as a service dog. I wouldn't recommend him for a home with small children or small pets.

When Winston made his way back to me all he wanted to do was play with the other dogs. He has since settled down some. Winston needs a little work with discipline and a little maturity. He pulls when on a leash and greets me in the morning by jumping up on me.  (We are working on it) Winston goes for daily walks now and has settled in nicely. His personality is that of a Labrador Retriever through and through. To my knowledge he has never bonded with anyone nor has anyone worked with him giving him direction until he came back to me. You may have heard me say there is nothing better than an old Labrador and nothing more frustrating than a young pup. Most of us realize there are dues to be paid to reap the benefits of an old labrador. Winston still has some of that pup in him, but I guarantee he is much closer to being an old Labrador than he is a pup. I know the breed and I know the bloodline if I was looking for a large dog and companion myself, I would love have Winston as my best friend.

Winston is intact with a limited registration. Winston is housebroken and though he gets a little excited at first, he calms down quickly and before long he is laying down by my feet. Winston does retrieves and loves to play. He likes belly scratches and craves attention. Winston is discounted about 75% from our puppy price to help find that perfect home. I too want a good fit and go to great Lengths to accurately describe the good and bad and any challenges needed for success. I also offer a 60-day money back for any reason. I rarely see any dogs returned to me when people know all the facts up front. I will always take my dogs back.
